Slogan of the year 1400; Suggestions considerations

It seems that the slogan of the year, which is determined and explained by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution on the eve of Nowruz, is based on the assessment of the current situation and consideration of the issues ahead by Him, and since it is expressed and emphasized by the security authority. In a way, it also determines the policies and priorities of the system. Therefore, in the editorial of this issue of Futurology Letter, we will review the most important current issues of the country on the eve of next year and also the most important situations and issues ahead of next year to discuss the conceptual requirements of the slogan of 1400. It seems that issues and concerns such as the situation of social capital, livelihood pressure and also reaching some strategic issues to a turning point such as JCPOA, including the most important axes to enter next year and cases such as: the first presidential election in the second step of the revolution and The first elections in the new solar century, the necessities of revolutionary thinking, the defeat of sanctions and, most importantly, social justice are among the most important concerns and situations of the coming year. In this article, while providing a brief explanation of these issues and concerns, two topics to determine Next year’s slogan is suggested.

Narrative and future of collective action in the 1400 presidential election

Inviting the community to participate in the 1400 presidential election, or in other words, collective political activism, has requirements that should create a motivating character in the community. In this case, the existence of a narrative or narratives that can convince public opinion to participate in the election plays a significant role. This article raises the question that; “What is the main reason for the high turnout in the 1400 presidential election?” ; Accordingly, it examines and analyzes the position of “narrative” as a provocative and decisive element in the creation of collective political actions and discusses its semantic, researcher and consequential components. In fact, inviting the public to participate in the elections should be accompanied by the characteristic of conviction and the feeling of need, which will be looked at in this article from the point of view of constructing collective narratives.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, as a claimant of religious democracy, considers participation as one of the components of the approval of the political system and popular acceptance. Therefore, discovering alternative futures for participation in the 1400 presidential election is an important issue in this regard. This article, by extracting the basic drivers of this issue, examines various scenarios of participation and proposes strategic and operational solutions for each possible situation.

The Islamic Republic and the Political-Security Relations in West Asia

The bloody ethnic, religious, sectarian, national, and political struggles resulting from territorial-border disputes, the intervention of supra-regional and regional powers, and the ambitions of the region’s authoritarian leaders date back to the establishment of the new nation-state process in West Asia. The Islamic Republic, as a regional power, is not immune from the politicalsecurity relations governing the region and its consequences, and has made efforts throughout its life to ensure the national and Islamic interests enshrined in the Constitution and based on the aspirations of the Islamic Revolution. He has made great efforts. Contrary to events in Tehran’s interests during the years since the fall of the Ba’athist regime in 2003 until now, the outcome of the security developments in the region over the past three years has not been to the liking of the Islamic Republic. The cowardly assassination of the martyrs Soleimani and al-Mohandes by US drones and the acceptance of the existence of the Israeli regime by some Arab states can be considered a turning point in this process. However, positive developments have taken place during these years, which has been welcomed by Tehran. The complete defeat of the Takfiris in Iraq and Syria and the conquest of Assad in most parts of Syria are examples of this process. In this article, we intend to examine the political-security relations in the region and its consequences for Tehran, and finally to point out the prospects of Tehran’s interests in the coming years.
